Prabowo's Team Asks the Ministry of Home Affairs to Admonish Regional Heads Support Jokowi

Andre asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to also reprimand the regional heads supporting Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin.

Andre said the two-finger greeting done by Anies might be in the context of the euphoria of Persija's success in winning the League 1. Andre judged that the pose of Anies's two fingers, which he called the Telajama Sajete, was his signature.

"Persija has just won, so it could be Bang Anies as the Governor of DKI Jakarta holding two fingers of the Jak symbol. In fact, at the meeting Bang Anies told me about Persija's achievements," Andre said in his statement on Tuesday (12/18/2018).


Andre did not question if many parties called Anies' two-finger gesture as a form of campaign for Prabowo-Sandi. However, he reminded many regional heads who openly gave support to Jokowi-Ma'ruf.

The politician of the Gerindra Party regretted that the reprimand of the Ministry of Home Affairs was only directed at Anies, who incidentally did not support the incumbent in the 2019 Presidential Election.

The Ministry of Home Affairs referred to Andre is the Director General of Regional Autonomy of the Ministry of Home Affairs Sumarsono or Soni. Soni previously said that Anies had asked permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs to attend the Gerindra event, but Anies was wrong because of posing two fingers.

"If you want to be fair, the regional heads who are supported by Pak Jokowi are also reprimanded, period. Because Mas Anies did not support the incumbent, then he was reprimanded," said Andre.


Andre said that the support of the regional heads to incumbent presidential candidates was not only conveyed verbally or gestures. As in Riau in mid-October 2018, he said the support of a number of regional heads to Jokowi-Ma'ruf was delivered in a complete declaration with the installation of campaign attributes.
